Juventus vs AC Milan

Our prediction for this Italy Super Cup match:

There will be fireworks when Juventus and AC Milan go head to head in the Italian Super Cup semis at Kingdom Arena. Juve dropped two points in a 2-2 draw with Fiorentina, but they are undefeated in the previous 14 games in all competitions. All Arthur Melo, Bremer, Cabal, Milik, Rouhi, and Weah remain on the sidelines with injuries for the home side.

The Rossoneri, on the other hand, head into Friday’s clash following a 1-1 draw with AS Roma. As both Juventus and Milan will adopt a cautious approach in the Italian Super Cup showdown, we are tempted to place our bets on under 2.5 goals. Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze has joined the likes of Florenzi, Jovic, Leao, Loftus-Cheek, Musah, and Okafor in Milan’s recovery room. The good news for Paulo Fonseca is that influential attacker Christian Pulisic should recover in time to face “the Old Lady”.

How the bookies view it: Upper hand for Turin club

Juventus have been installed as favourites and are priced at 13/10 by WK777 to claim the win. A victory for AC Milan is valued at 19/10 with WK777, who are also offering odds of 21/10 for a draw.

Players to watch: Reijnders to star again

Tijani Reijnders continues to contribute goals to AC Milan from midfield and has now scored five goals in the last eight matches in all competitions. The Dutchman is priced at 4/1 with 777Pub to score anytime.

Juventus will look to Dusan Vlahovic to deliver the goods in attack once again having scored three goals in the last five matches in all competitions. The Serbian striker is priced at 7/4 by WK777 to find the net.

Probable line-ups

Timothy Weah, Arkadiusz Milik and Bremer are out injured and will miss Friday’s clash. Kenan Yildiz was a second half substitute against Fiorentina and should start in attack alongside Vlahovic while Pierre Kalulu is set to continue at the back.

AC Milan have injury problems of their own, with Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all sidelined. Alvaro Morata could feature up front alongside Tammy Abraham, with Reijnders set to continue in midfield.

Juventus: Di Gregorio, Savona, Gatti, Kalulu, Cambiaso, Thuram, Locatelli, Yildiz, Koopmeiners, Conceicao, Vlahovic
AC Milan: Maignan, Hernandez, Gabbia, Thiaw, Royal, Fofana, Reijnders, Camarda, Chukwueze, Abraham, Morata

Juventus vs AC Milan Prediction

Both teams have been struggling for results of late. Juve are unbeaten in 14 straight outings across competitions but they have failed to keep a clean sheet in five subsequent Serie A affairs.

The fact they shipped two or more goals in three of the last four league games speaks volumes.

AC Milan have had issues to get their offence moving ever since the injury to their top scorer Christian Pulisic.

However, we can see them exploiting Juventus’ out-of-form back line in this Super Cup tie.

Backing goals at both ends thus has to be way to go at the attractive 1.80 odds. The 1-1 stalemate is priced up at the 6.00 odds in the correct score market.
